Vandeputte
For Vandeputte’s oil seed processing factory, we designed a custom version of the Aerox®-Injector to provide the optimal odour removal.
Vandeputte is a cold pressing oil seed processing plant in Belgium. Vandeputte was interested in their emissions, collected data and found that they were emitting a high number of odour units. In processing oil seed there are some processes that are a higher source of odour than others. Based on the data provided by Vandeputte, Aerox advised to focus primarily on the processes where the highest amount of odour originated instead of treating all process air.
Optimal odour removal
Based on on-site pilot testing we determined the right solution to treat the air from all the presses and the conditioners. Aerox designed the optimal odour removal system in close cooperation with Vandeputte. The Aerox®-Injector was placed on the roof and has removed most of the odour particles ever since.
Treating combined airflows
In the process air in this oil seed factory there appear some condensed oil and water droplets. To counteract this an oil and water separator was installed prior to the Aerox®-Injector. This is done to maximize and guarantee the effectiveness of the machine. This also allows the Aerox®-Injector to treat the combined airflows coming from both the presses and conditioners.
