Dairygold
The process air from Dairygold’s spray dryers, containing strong cheese odours, is successfully treated by an Aerox®-Injector.
Dairygold in France uses a spray dryer to produce fine powders as an end product from milk and cheese. The air coming from the spray dryer contains a lot of odours. Especially some mature cheese products cause a strong smell which has lead to complaints from the neighbourhood.

Spray dryer odour control
Aerox carried out pilot tests in the Dairygold factory on different cheese products. The test results were very positive and therefore gave Dairygold incentive to go with the Aerox®-Injector. The first machine was ordered in 2010 and has been in operation ever since. This was the first machine which works on spray dried dairy products.
Treating hot airflows
The Aerox®-Injector is suitable for all temperature and humidity ranges. Therefore, the 70 to 90 degree process air is treated without any changes or additions to the process ducts. Dairy gold has been very satisfied with the Aerox®-Injector as tests show a very high amount of odour reduction.
